Paper & Materials

Paper: Hahnemühle Pearl 285 gsm — bright, neutral-white fine-art paper with a subtle pearl/satin finish.

Surface: Smooth “orange-peel” texture; lightly reflective sheen that adds depth without glare.

Archival: Acid-free, lignin-free, museum-quality paper designed for long-term stability.

Why this paper: Excellent detail and tonal separation; deep, rich blacks and vibrant colour. The satin coating gives images a gentle lustre and added punch—great for both colour and B&W, and far more scuff-resistant than matte stocks.

Feel: Resin-coated fibre base with a sturdy hand; premium gallery look.

If I change paper in future, this section will be updated for full transparency.

🐻 Buddha Bear — Eyes of Eternity (Print Only)

Every Solawen piece is sent with care, gratitude, and transparency — nothing hidden, only art delivered.

“In the silence of the cave, the world leans in to listen.”

Buddha Bear rests not as beast, but as presence. His gaze carries more than power — it carries patience, the vast weight of knowing without words. Balanced upon the log, bathed in the hush of shadow, he is not predator, not threat, but witness: the timeless keeper of stillness. Painted in oil paints, layered slowly so the fur breathes, the light settles, and the quiet feels lived rather than staged.

When you hang this piece upon your wall, you invite not the roar of nature, but its whisper. It reminds you that true strength is not to dominate but to endure, to meet the rushing tide of days with calm that cannot be moved.

To look into the bear’s eyes is to glimpse eternity — where time pauses, and presence alone remains.

Stillness is not surrender — it is sacred watchfulness.
